Description:
A company based in Pretoria East has 2 vacancies available for Junior Mechanical Engineers with a passion and interest in military & land systems (special purpose protected vehicles) to join their team. The ideal candidates need to have a relevant Degree and at least 1+ year of relevant work experience, and a passport as international travel will be required.
You will play a key role in the design, development, refurbishment, and maintenance of various sectors of the security market as well as special purpose-protected vehicles. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept to completion while utilizing your expertise in various engineering disciplines and providing customized solutions.
Requirements:
- Matric essential
- B.Eng or B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in a CAD package and computer hardware/software, PTC Creo & Creo Simulate.
- Experience in product design with a passion for product development.
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis and strength of materials.
- Curiosity about the inner workings of machines and tools.
- Strong analytical skills & ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
- Take ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to be technically hands-on involved.
- Experience in vehicle and vehicle sub-system design. (advantageous)
