Description:
Seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales Assistant with knowledge of the building/construction industry and strong sales skills to join our them at our Edenvale branch.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in finding and purchasing products related to the building and construction industry, providing excellent customer service and growing sales revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in finding products related to the building/construction industry and provide information on product features and benefits
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to generate repeat business and referrals
- Use strong sales techniques to upsell products and meet or exceed sales targets
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are displayed effectively
- Stay up to date on industry trends, products, and competitors to provide informed recommendations to customers
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide support as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong person with experience/knowledge on how the building/construction industry
- Strong skills and experience in sales, preferably in the building/construction
industry
- Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment commonly used in
construction projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and other sales software/tools
