Description:
Minimum requirements for the role:Relevant Diploma or Degree in agriculture or related qualification is preferred for the role.
Diploma or Degree in Business Management is advantageous but not essential.
Previous experience having worked as a Sales Director or Commercial Manager within the agricultural or veterinary or animal feeds or health or related industries is essential for the role.
Previous experience working within the agrochemical industry is preferred but not essential.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Managing, driving and overseeing all sales and commercial operations and business activities on a national basis to ensure the company achieves the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
Accompanying sales and technical staff to grow and develop distributor relationships as well as identifying and evaluating distribution options.
Overseeing and monitoring price, volume, sales and GP to achieve budgets.
Managing the growth analysis for the company identifying opportunities.
Overseeing and driving the implementation of marketing plans regarding distributors and agents.
Managing and working closely with the technical team to ensure that products are developed and marketed within the industry.
Ensuring that distributors are provided with the correct training on the companies range of products as well as visiting distributors and farmers to provide technical support.
Reviewing financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.
Building trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders.
Participate in regional and international conferences, seminars and workshops.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
