Description:
Logistics qualification or similar (PPIM advantageous)5 Years experience in a similar role (exports / demand planning)
Exports experience within a manufacturing environment is ESSENTIAL
Experience with exports into Africa is ESSENTIAL
SAP or ERP computer experience would be an advantage
Good knowledge of supply chain and operations
Material requirement planning experience
Familiarity with the Export Legislations
Experience with INCO terms
Duties include:-
Report to the Local Supply Chain Controller
Ensure fluent production orders and communication flow between production, quality and logistics Departments
Review open orders to identify material shortages ahead of time
Monitor and act on all manufacturing orders that are past due, or idle to prevent he order from being late
Must be able to work to work side by side with production management, purchasing and scheduling to rectify issues with lead time and inventory constraints
Daily contact with customer service department
Provides proactive feedback to internal customers on orders being expedited, orders customer paid for (block release), orders that are past due, behind schedule and others as requested along with an estimated time of completion
Effective communicate (internally and externally) and provide timely responses to emails and requests
Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
Shipping documentation management (exports)
Facilitate required documents needed for logistics pickup and shipments as needed
Dealing with Clearing and Forwarding Agents
Demand planning
Generate and maintain accurate required documentation
Ensure all required documentation is obtained and forwarded to customer
Creating and maintaining shipping schedule with internal and external stakeholders
Arrange transportation for goods as required/scheduled
Expedite the Load Plan and ensure that customer service and sales are communicated with when delays occur
Monitor the execution of the Load Plan to ensure effective and customer service orientated
Inventory management (including clock and restricted stock management)
Weekly review of finished goods list that has not been shipped - escalating when necessary
Prevent any finished goods from staying on hand for longer than 2 months
Manage blocked and restricted finished goods locations
