Description:
New opportunity with "services" industry listed Group (T/O R800 Million +). You would need to be a Chartered Accountant with some proven Group consolidations experience. The bookkeepers / accountants of the five subsidiary companies would have a report to you, and you in turn would report to the FD.
OVERVIEW - Prepare the consolidated monthly management accounts, interim and annual reports for the group and its subsidiary companies and the share trust; prepare the books for the dormant and semi-dormant entities within the group; statutory reporting - SARS, COID and Stats SA (includes attending to queries raised); assistance with company secretarial requirements; review and reporting on general ledger accounts; SARS matters; B-BBEE; Cash flow; Board & Audit Committee Packs; Ad hoc project & assignments.
Finance & planning - Develop and manage the budgets and budgeted cash flows for the group and the divisions/branches within the group.
Financial Management - Manage the financial accounting and financial performance including the submission, on time, of fully analysed management accounts; cash flow management; compliance with group policies and procedures; forecasts.
Corporate Risk Management - All assets are properly insured in accordance with group and/or divisional policies; proper and effective internal control systems are implemented and maintained.
Asset Management - Compliance with group asset management policies.
Direct Reports - Accountants / Bookkeepers, other Finance Clerks
Travel requirements - occasionally to branches nationally
Requirements:
