Their commitment to excellence and innovation has positioned them as a leader in their industry. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join them. They specialise in the production and supply of conical bits and related accessories for the mining and construction industries.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for analysing and optimising their supply chain operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement, production, and distribution of their products. You will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting overall business growth.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supply Chain Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of the end-to-end supply chain processes for conical bits, including procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts, considering historical data, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Optimise inventory levels by implementing appropriate inventory strategies, conducting regular stock analyses, and ensuring efficient order fulfilment to minimise insufficient stock or excess inventory.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Collaborate with production team to consider demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and lead times, to achieve optimal production efficiency.
  • Cost Optimisation: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain, such as transportation, warehousing, and procurement, and develop strategies to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and interpret supply chain data to generate meaningful reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review and decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain, develop contingency plans, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply and minimal business impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, finance, and logistics, to align supply chain activities with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to supply chain operations, quality control, and product safety.

  • Proficiency in supply chain analysis tools, statistical software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
