This role provides a senior tester with the opportunity to expand their presence across the various teams. At Allan Gray we believe in building software that will shape the future and we are looking for testers with passion, drive, strong technical and problem solving skills to help us achieve this goal. We believe our testers play a vital role not just in ensuring the quality of the software we develop, but in making it better, all the way from backend to frontend. As a tester at Allan Gray you play a critical role in the design of our software to ensure it is developed with quality in mind from the very beginning and solving the many complex challenges along the way, using some of the industry’s latest technologies. Automation is a key part in what we do, so we will expect our testers to have a strong coding background to assist in building the automation systems that enable us to deliver this world class software rapidly.
Job Responsibilities
Identifies ways to test more efficiently in the team
Drives the improvement of unit test cases while ensuring all other bases are covered
Strong contributor towards root cause analysis
Driving implementation of continuous improvement and preventative actions & increasing maturity
Works with Tech Leads on the design of the final solution, ensuring its testability
Taking responsibility for complexity
Actively monitors services in production and drives a reduction in errors
Drives the alignment of testing procedures and can measure the effectiveness of testing in teams
Looks to resolve testing issues and challenges across teams
Experience
Conducts regular code reviews
Can actively contribute and drive improvement in the team's pipeline
Ensures the automation of tests in-sprint, at the appropriate level
Contributes to broader framework development within their domain
Competent in automating across the full-stack and able to mentor others in this space too
Strong mentorship, leadership and technical skills are a must.
CRM, BPM or Transaction Domain knowledge is advantageous
