Key Responsibilities:

• Crafting and organizing all journal entries with meticulous precision.
• Compiling balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity and accuracy.
• Orchestrating budget and financial forecast preparations, analyzing variances, and reporting findings.
• Timely publication of monthly financial statements for comprehensive insights.
• Preparation of monthly VAT and EMP201 returns, adhering closely to regulations.
• Coordinating regulatory report preparation, ensuring full compliance.
• Conducting in-depth research into technical accounting matters to maintain compliance.
• Providing seamless support for month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensuring top-notch quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Managing and adhering to all local, state, and governmental reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to bolster internal controls.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts to inform strategic decision-making.
• Thoroughly reviewing and approving payments promptly and accurately.
• Guaranteeing tax and VAT compliance to mitigate risks effectively.
• Precise maintenance and reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
• Scrutinizing credit notes requests and creditors reconciliations for accuracy.
• Efficient processing of month-end adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Handling foreign supplier invoices meticulously and accurately.
• Conducting quarterly audits of business processes across all divisions to ensure efficiency.
• Accurate maintenance of the fixed assets register.
• Undertaking any additional controller duties as needed to support the team and organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles
• 4 years post articles experience outside of an Audit/Accounting firm
• Proven experience in financial management and control.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
