Job Title: Electronic Engineer (Product Development and Implementation) Location: Sasolburg, South Africa Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience Position Description: Are you passionate about designing and implementing cutting-edge electronic systems for mission-critical applications? Our client is a leader in R&D for powerplants in both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles worldwide. As an Electronic Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of data loggers, ECUs, and other mission-critical equipment. Skills Requirements: Advanced circuitry design, evaluation, and implementation. PCB design, development, evaluation, and implementation. Programming of microchips using PICs, SDM 32 IDE, Arduino IDE, etc. Development and implementation of CAN communication protocols. Development and implementation of RS 232/485 communication protocols. Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and evaluating PCBs to international standards such as ISO. Experience with complex electronic systems design using programs like Diptrace is preferred. Candidates should have experience coordinating with internationally recognized manufacturing companies for PCB production. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate expertise in selecting appropriate microchip sets, power supplies, ADCs, etc., to ensure the reliability and functionality of components. Ability to differentiate between poor designs and proper industrial/aviation designs is essential. Requirements: 5 to 10 years of experience in PCB design, manufacturing, and programming. Valid Degree or Diploma from an accredited institute (Master's preferred). Valid South African ID or Passport. Willingness to travel internationally for work. Fluency in English is mandatory. Reliable transportation (2x4 or 4x4 preferred) due to the location of the facility.
