Description:
Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering solutions company, mechanical projects, seeks to employ a Construction Manager, on a 6 month contract, with solid background in structural steel construction projects in the piping and oil & gas sector, to join their dynamic and progressive technical team.
Please note that this is a mid-career level role, with experience in steel fabrication and structural construction, specifically in the oil & gas and structural construction sector, dealing with NEC 3 contracts on mostly refinery sites
Due to the role being contractual, candidates resident in Cape Town and surrounding areas will be considered.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
- You will have a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 + years in large piping construction projects, as well as being registered CMP at SACPCMP
● You will have a proven track record in steel fabrication and site construction to include welding, pipe fitting, rigging and mechanical fitting.
● You must have a solid background in managing fabrication and construction on site to ensure the successful execution of projects, as well as control project scheduling and cost to ensure efficient use of resources.
● You will have professional leadership skills, be able to lead effectively and ensure quality workmanship according to international standards, as well as manage HSE on sites.
● You will have expert problem solving and organizational skills.
● You must have a valid driver’s licence , own car and a clear criminal and credit record
