Position: Internal Technical Sales Location: Richards Bay About the role: An opportunity for an experienced Internal Technical Sales is required for permanent employment based n Richards Bay. The person will report directly to the Managing and operations Directors Responsibilities: • Agreed in all the various monthly sales functions of the company. • Effectively placing customer orders of stock with the timeously transport arrangements for these orders. • Courteous and efficient assisting the External Sales Representatives daily with sales compiling accurate quotations as per customer requirements. • Manage and control of buy-out sales and third-party service provider sub-contractors (outsourcing). • Effectively dealing with walk-in customers as well as cold-calling, and measuring orders received versus quoted on a daily basis and following up on quotes lost/outstanding. • Effectively communicating internally and externally with co-workers and workshop staff, as well as assisting other staff if and when required. • Maintaining retrievable information effectively and accurately on a daily basis, including generating sales orders and invoices on Pastel Accounting software. • To read and interpret drawings and ensure clarity and accuracy on all relevant jobs, do take-offs and liaising with draughtsman and estimator where and when necessary. • Expedite urgent jobs and break-downs to ensure timeous performance. • Interact with finance department daily to ensure credit and account facilities. • Assisting the external sales reps and sales manager with various pricing and quoting. • To participate and conduct monthly and annual stock-counts as per arrangement with Directors. Minimum requirements: • Steel / Engineering industry essential Technical Sales or similar qualification (adv) • 5+ years experience in similar role • Pastel Accounting experience (Pastel Partner) • Computer literate (Excel, Work, Outlook etc) • Experience with quotes • Understanding / Reading Drawings • Technical minded • Able to genuinely work under pressure Team Player environment (Able to multi-task) • Own transport Vacancy based in Richards Bay (Local residency required) Remuneration: R 10 000 –R20 000 kpm Please note that the hiring team responsible for this position will be using the PikUniq platform for candidate screening and conducting one-way interviews.
