Production Manager

Description:

Responsibilities: Continuously review and control the production schedule.Oversee production targets and monitor production quality.Achieve production targets.Ensure that the targets set out are aligned with the production line's capabilities.Ensure timely delivery of finished goods.Assist the Chief Production Officer with managing the internal team.Communicate clear and accurate raw material needs to the supply chain department.Conduct time, lead time, cycle time and tact time studies.Analyse production, quality control and budgetary outcomes of projects to improve efficiencies.Coordinate and collaborate with other departments involved with the production process to ensure that goals and objectives are aligned.Ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with the quality standards set out by the Technical and QualityEstablish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them with production supervisors and team leaders.Monitor the production workflow and adjust to ensure targets are achieved.Provide the team with necessary direction on production/ quality/ maintenance challenges.Continuously identify areas of improvement and come up with possible solutions.Day-to-day production operational management decisions.Monitor and regulate staffing needs to ensure optimum staffing levels support business demands.Continuous skills gap analysis of production staff and provide technical support.Motivate the production staff.Ensuring strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standardsKnowledge and skills required:Grade 12Relevant Degree / Diploma in production managementTextile Manufacturing Experience advantageous5-8 years experience in a similar role
