Description:
1. Oversight and management of Production Planning, Purchasing of Inventory, Receiving, Warehousing, Sales Order, Processing and Distribution activities within Industrial operations to meet planned demand according to current goods.
2. Warehousing and Distribution Practices at the best cost possible
3. Create, develop and retain an aligned, high performing, motivated team of people to achieve the desired outcomes of the department through coaching, mentoring, management, training and development to maximize the potential of the Supply Chain Team
4. Achieve savings targets and ensure continuity of supply, through sourcing of alternative suppliers and negotiation of best prices /optimal purchase order quantities.
5. Compliance to current good warehousing / distribution practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
6. Timeous preparation of manufacturing plans to ensure availability of inventory to meet forecasted demand.
7. Maintain MRP parameters to reflect supply and demand patterns.
8. Ensure good warehousing practices and financial outcomes through improved stock control and asset utilization.

- Purchasing: 5 to 6 years
- Supply Chain Management: 5 to 6 years
- Warehouse Manager: 5 to 6 years
1. Grade 12
2. Materials Management qualification (Supply Chain, Logistics, Operation Management etc) (NQF level 6)
3. Business Management qualification (desirable)
4. 5 + years Warehouse & People Management experience
5. 5 + years in planning, purchasing, supply chain, sales order processing, warehousing, and distribution.
