Junior Bookkeeper - Payroll/creditors full function

An office Automation/Telecoms company based in Sandton/Johannesburg is currently seeking a Junior Bookkeeper - Payroll/creditors full function.Our client based in Sandton are an innovative forward thinking and ever-changing organization and need the services of an experienced and accurate finance/admin clerk to join their team. The successful candidate would need to be able to handle pressure and be able to adapt to this ever-changing environment. Strong admin and attention to detail would be very important personal attributes to fulfill this role at this dynamic organization. Definite stability and scope for growth within this office automation environment.

• Payroll preparation (there is an external company that does the actual payroll). This is critical
• Daily cashbooks and cash flows
• Petty cash management
• Various bookkeeping admin related functions (Debtors and creditors , inventory management )
• The Creditors Clerk will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties such as the processing and payment of supplier invoices.

• Preparation of books for various companies to management accounts for two smaller companies, inter-company processing and offsets
• Trial Balance
• Previous experience with inventory (stock) modules in Pastel is non-negotiable
• Worked with stock movement/environment
• Pastel Evolution experience is a must
• Strong Excel skills
• Reconciliation of creditors accounts
• Have sound organizational and accuracy skills.
• Bookkeeping principles.
• Attentive to detail.
• Handle pressure.
• Meeting all deadlines.
• Can communicate within the team and contribute to the overall success of the team.
• Adaptable as this is a constantly changing environment.
