Description:

To evaluate and present applications for funding that contribute towards the Department objectives and CTFL sector development goals. This would include performing the financial and/or technical and/or marketing due diligence functions for individual and cluster applications and ensuring risk identification and mitigation. Qualification Minimum qualification: relevant commercial or technical honours degreeKnowledge Skills 8-10 years related experience of which 8 years should be in deal assessment as well as closing of transactions Experience in due diligence disciplines (Marketing, Technical or Financial) Knowledge in assessing all associated issues in a transaction (Legal, risks, etc.)Experience in peer reviewExperience in interpretation and analysis of financial statementsKnowledge of the market environment and technology landscapeKnowledge of financing instrumentsUnderstand and review models of proposed financial structuresCompetent in coaching and mentoring of team members.Financial / Shareholder ReturnsEnsure financial soundness of all credit submissions.Transactions aligned to the R-CTFL Master plan 2030Internal / Operational ProcessesEvaluate applications for finance (financial, technical and marketing disciplines)Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and orginisation for the specific deal.Risk identification and mitigationDeal optimization - ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Department and will contribute to meeting industry development goalsSupport the development and implementation of strategies or action plans to drive the Department’s strategic objectives.Account management function up to first drawPrepare well written and motivated reports for presentation to the relevant Panel and other Panel as required.Conduct peer reviews on all due diligence disciplines.Training, mentoring and coaching of Account ManagersProvide advice to Business Analysts and Dealmakers in the handling of enquiries and applicationsCustomer Focus Stakeholder ManagementTo effectively interact with different SBUs and departments in order to fulfil the process requirements related to any specific deal / transaction.Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure the provision of client service excellence.Learning, Leadership People GrowthProvide team leadership in transactions during due diligenceManage own development to enhance own competenciesParticipate in knowledge sharing in the team and cross functionalCoaching and mentoring of team members
