Description:
- Matric plus N4 (Mechanical Engineering)
- Completed an apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting / Fitter & Turner.
- A recognized Trade Test certificate, Mechanical Fitting / Fitter & Turner.
- At least 5 to 8 years heavy industrial fitting experience.
- A good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- A specific knowledge of Front-End Equipment (dewatering mills & carriers).
- Good fault-finding / problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and diagrams.
- A good understanding of the principles and techniques associated with condition based monitoring and modern alignment.
- Computer literate & conversant with planned maintenance system will be an added advantage.
- Sugar Mill experience will be an added advantage.
- Rigging experience.
- Turning/Welding
Key Focus Area:
- Carry out plant inspections and schedules as per scheduled maintenance manual
