Minimum requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Electrical/Civil Engineering diploma and/or relevant trade test.
- More than 5 year' experience as a Clerk of Work/Site Supervisor on Transmission or Distribution substations (up to 132kV)
- Detailed understanding of substation civil and electrical scope
- Detailed knowledge of Transmission or Distribution substation standards (up to 132kV)
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of OEM and Quality Inspection and test Plans
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings and schematics
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings
- Some experience of substation equipment testing, and commissioning will be advantageous
- Driver's License and own transport
Required outputs and responsibilities:
- The major responsibility of this position is to ensure quality of work on substation sites across SA. The position will involve liaising with Quality personnel, Engineers and Project Managers
- Adherence to Proconics Quality system on site
- Reporting on any non-conformance to the Construction Manager and Project
- Issuing NCRs to subcontractors and suppliers in line with Proconics Quality system
- Ensure that the multidisciplinary engineering and design intent is being carried through the construction phase, supporting safe, successful construction completion and ensuring commissioning and start-up success
