Description:

Purpose of the Role:

Provide professional project management services for the implementation of the project for technical competency development and enterprise development; and improvement programmes that employ best practices and ultimately lead towards industry global competitiveness. Grass roots economic development. To plan, direct and coordinate designated development projects to achieve objectives within timeframes and funding parameters, technical requirements, customer expectations, and provide general support to the department.

Outputs:

Preparation and presentation at monthly project review meeting Report on project budget (monthly) and highlight variances Raise budget deviation request where necessary Business Development Identify Enterprise Development Stakeholders Develop proposals and feasibility studies on various potential projects Client Identification and engagement Township Enterprise Development Hub Develop project plans, Identify Subprojects, Resources required Stakeholders sign off of plan Project Execution Implement tasks in terms of the project plan Oversee resources (staff and any other resources) Ensure that procurement processes are adhered to and implemented Manage project risk Documenting and storing evidence of closed risks Manage project budget on Maconomy Updating of project scorecards and filing of project delivery evidence Prepare input to Annual Report Project Review reports monthly Monitor Performance to Plan Track progress and highlight non-compliance Project budget Redefine project timelines Progress reports monthly, quarterly, and annually. Develop project charter Identify Client and Stakeholders Update on regular project information Visits to stakeholders, funders, and clients Maintain relationships in terms of the SLA and company policy

Minimum Requirements:

Technical Diploma Auto-body repair equipment technician, Apprenticeship Experience in Project Management. 5 years’ experience in setting up auto-body workshop projects plus 3 years in Auto-body industry environment. Supply chain exposure would be an advantage. Knowledge and Skills: Finance Policies and Procedures Quality Management Systems Project Management Logistics Auto-body Setup Body-shop Repair Equipment PFMA PMBOK ERP Systems Supply Chain Understanding of the auto industry Project Management Logistics Computer Literacy Conflict handling Production management
