You're entrepreneurial, ambitious, and want to help run a company. You have at least 5 years of relevant online marketing experience. You're creative and self-reliant enough to achieve ambitious targets with the resources of a scale-up in Africa and you're able to strategically grow a marketing department!

As Head of Marketing of this scale-up, you're responsible for the creation and execution of the marketing strategy. The marketing team (4 FTE's & 1 SA part-timer) is in a post-corona restarting phase, which gives you the opportunity to build the team yourself. You can leave your mark on the future of this fast-growing company and contribute to the company wide strategy with the management team.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Marketing funnel: from engagements (on- and offline) to requesting a booking Targets: supplying enough leads to the sales team to achieve the growth targets Reports: giving the team weekly insight into the marketing statistics Management of your own team as well as being part of the MT Strategy: developing new strategies together with management on how to tap into new markets
WHO ARE YOU?
Relevant work experience: At least 5 years of online marketing experience, preferably at a start- or scale-up and/or in travel or a similar B2C company (actually travel is like B2B with long marketing & sales cycles) Socially skilled: With the growth of the company, the marketing team that you manage will also grow quickly Strategic mastermind: Foresight and predictive ability Data-driven: The choices you make are supported by data and metrics are great friends of yours Self-reliant and curious: You are not dependent on expensive advisors/executors to get something done Passion for travel and you feel our product perfectly Pre-tech savvy: Connect directly with development teams to bring your projects to life (you can also build your own)
