Job description/responsibilities:

To track foreign orders and shipments and raise costs on SYSPRO. Track foreign orders and shipments and raise costs in SYSPRO. Log new PO on foreign register spreadsheet. Keep track of email correspondence regarding orders, then log shipping details on register. Update ROE and PO’s as soon as BOL is available, so that GRN’s are done at the correct ROE. Liaise with Clearing House once shipment clears through SA Customs. Prepare payment for Customs VAT and Clearing Charges to Clearing House. Shipping documentation. Clearing of goods.

Be able to communicate in a professional yet friendly manner with various stake holders as well as the broader finance team. Demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles. Be a team player and show initiative to help others wherever / whenever required. Ability to multi-task

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Diploma or higher in Logistics or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the FMCG industry.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Good business acumen for problem solving. Computer literacy and ERP System proficiency as well as a good understanding of Microsoft Excel Foreign supplier knowledge will be an advantage. Experience in liaison with Shipping Lines and Freight Forwarders Understanding and application of INCO terms Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload. Analysis and judgment. Attention to detail. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office (Excel essential) and SYSPRO. Must have 3 years’ experience using SYSPRO.
